Jim Wright is co-founder and president of The Station of the Cross Catholic Radio Network. While visiting the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) monastery in the mid-1990s, Jim and his wife Joanne were inspired by Mother Angelica to start a Catholic radio apostolate, despite having no radio or media experience. In 1999, The Station of the Cross started broadcasting in Buffalo, New York. It has since expanded to include nine additional terrestrial stations across the northeastern United States and iCatholicRadio – the #1 Catholic radio mobile app.
Prior to starting The Station of the Cross, Jim built Orthodent Lab (ODL) from the ground up. Since 1984, ODL has been handcrafting orthodontic appliances for clients nationwide. The company is a recognized leader in the innovation of digital processes for manufacturing orthodontic appliances. ODL launched EasyRx, an innovative software created to facilitate the design of dental appliances, and has also developed new techniques for building appliances through digital technology. In May 2017, Jim retired from ODL, leaving his three sons to take over the reins.
Jim is a member of the Board of Directors at Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville, New York, and at Chesterton Academy, a private Catholic secondary school in West Seneca, New York.
